Best friend: 17 years and counting…………

“Everything and everybody changes as we grow up and nothing remains the same but there is a exception. My best friend will still be my best friend”

I always want to write a post in dedication for my best friend Shivajyothi. I have been thinking about this for a long time and today would be the day to write my heart out.

In past 17 years no matter how our lives turned, how our personal and professional lives were, we both never fall apart and it was clear that forever word is best suited for us. Many people have crossed my life and a few hardly leave their mark in it. But whomsoever leave their footsteps in my heart will stay right there in my race no matter how hard my path is.

I met her when I was in my 8th class and she was in 6th grade. At that time we were just acquaintance. I liked her sparkling smile and her impeccable voice and she was fond of my name(Mega star of Tollywood).

We parted ways after class 12 and wouldn’t have any chance to meet thereafter. Thanks to the one soul (a soldier in our dad’s army unit) for contacting our dad and in turn we got connected after a year. From then on a unbreakable bond kept us together. It was a series of adventures, love, care and fights thought out our journey but we never kept away from one another from that date.

No matter how matured we are in our personal lives, once we meet its the same 8th & 6th grade friends and it would be chaos……………………..

There is an epic truth of life. Except your Mother no one stays by your side without any benefit and if one does then you are the luckiest person alive on this planet. I am one of them to have her in my life who stood by my side when no one else did. She believed in me when I had nothing. I will forever be grateful for being a ray of hope, for the smiling face and energy boost that kept me strong through out my life.

Thousands of people come and go but what remains is their true relationships. Even after having series of relationships though out past two decades my bestie made sure she will always be the first one.

The most satisfying thing we ever felt is the people giving an example of our friendship and they still wonder how we are friends for past 17 years. If I continue to write it would be a book and I don’t want my readers to get bored. Just wanted to let my heart out in writing .

Today is a special day as the most prettiest, chubby, ever joyful, childish girl was given birth on this day. That’s my best friend…..!!

  2. Wonderful. You’ re absolutely right on “friendship”. Why don’t you start writing the book ? Your readers won’t get bored, because this is a topic we are interested in. Write the book, dear. Your own experience, not in general about friendship. You have the material, and you have your friends. She is beautiful, dear. Take care, and enjoy, both of you.

  11. A lovely post for your best friend. Friends like these are rare. I don’t have any Fri from my school days, but as an adult I have gained some friends I can call my besties. I have 3 besties, but 2 of them have been my besties for 10 or 12 years abouts. Where my 3 bestie, it’s only been a few years, but I would like to hope that this is another solid bestie relationship too still, in years to come.

What a gift to have each other as friends…that’s worth more then all the gold in the world, to have someone loyal that cares for you.
