Terrorism doesn’t have a Religion

When I see so many people calling for war against a particular religion over the tragic killing of our brave soldiers, I don’t understand what they meant about war.

Being from an Army family and lived close to the border, I say those who talk about war don’t even know what is feels like loosing people in the War.

Second, those who want revenge from a particular religion, please grow up guys.        Stop spreading hatred towards common people in our own country.                                    Stop molesting people based on their religion for the crime someone else has done.          Stop over reacting towards hashtag TerrorismHasaReligion.                                               Stop judging others when you are not even aware of what is happening around.

The most affected people are Kashmiris. schools had been shut down for weeks, every individual in own state will be suspected every single day for months, Many Students will be missing their competitive exams, families will live in fear of another blast.

Our so called Government will be following the protocol of tight security for few months in the name of securities, that is like securing area after the disaster.

Please stop judging common people based on your personal intuition. Indian Army knows what to do and when to do. Those who commit will eventually suffer their fate. Karma has done it before and it will do it best at right time……

    1. No Ananya.. it’s not that they belong to one religion… just that they are portrayed as such.. it’s some bloody people who are terrorists in the name of religion..
religion has nothing to do with it…

      6. Yeah you’ll understand one day what I mean BTW do you know that even a Muslim soldier was killed in the pulwama attack. You are right about most terrorists in the current era being Muslims.
Do you remember the history thn what will u call the atom bombs dropped on Hiroshima & Nagasaki?
More than 1 lakh civilians were killed alone. Was it a act of terrorism or sheer power?
Now r all Americans terrorists or were they all responsible for it?
The answer is simple bt it’s okay.

  1. I could have agreed with your point but their funerals say something else.
Many muslims are celebrating and laughing like hell on this attack..They are burning crackers, enjoying.. Sorry but your point is very irrelevant. What about them who are doing this. All the muslims. No hindu is celebrating this. All those who are celebrating are muslims.

    1. No muslim in India is celebrating it either. Get your facts right before speaking.
Also terrorists in America are not Islamic but Christians. Do you want to blame them for this too? A hindu burnt a person and is being contesting an election. Mind calling every hindu terrorist too?

Look your anger is justified but your views are wrong.

    2. You are seeing just what you are being shown….
No Hindu or Muslim in India is celebrating this…..
I still don’t understand why terrorism is being linked with religion..
The people who are celebrating this are neither Muslims nor belong any other religion…

      1. Yes absolutely with what you say Chiru….in the name of terrorism the life of common people are affected in and around the area where the mishap happened. Terrorism in any language is killing of innocent people, only those who are spine less do such thing. We surely cannot pinpoint any particular religion to this nor blame just one sect of the world for this..so let’s join together as one and extend all our support what we can as one Nation to our Nation’s heroes out there who are guarding us. And our solidarity to their decision too..
And our prayers, well wishes and support for the martyrs bereaving families for they have lost a son, a husband a father, so be considerate… and show some respect to the Shahids and the people suffering because of these terrorist activities.
At least you had the guts to tell the world what you feel….kudos to you for that Chiru…

  4. But I agree that getting hyper is not the solution, they are shouting war war war, that will absolutely not help at all, you are right that way but they are doing this because they are hurt deeply. But this point that terrorism doesn’t have religion. I don’t think so.

    1. Terrorism actually does not have a religion since no religious scripture advocates it for one and self styled godmen and preachers of religious texts have modified and contaminated it to use it to their sheer benefits. It’s a profession, believe it or not.

      1. But the muslims have the mindset to capture and downgrade the country, our country India, okay of you think so then please tell me why all the terrorist are from only one religion? Even US declared it. I don’t know what you think about this but till now it’s a record that only muslims are doing all the attacks.

      2. 1. How many Muslim friends do you have ? How many times how you felt threatened by their presence around you or their actions ?
        2. The people of India allowed Muslims, British, Portuguese, French as occupational forces inside the nation for their petty benefits and lacked unity which is stated by history and not me, hence we are equally responsible for it’s down-gradation at every stage.
        3. Being a terrorist is a state of mind. They are fanatics and are found in every religion (VHP, Bajrang Dal, RSS, KArni Sena just for reference). Kindly tell me how many times these organizations (Senas/Armies) have stepped up to help the security forces, have done anything positive within the society other than beating up couples in parks, breaking and torching public property as per their whims and fancies and creating religious divides.
        4. US declared shit. They have not been able to clean up their own self created mess for such a long time now that it’s their global narrative everywhere. If US has declared Muslims as global terrorists why does it fund Pakistan, have oil partnership with Saudis and not bomb all of them with it’s huge arsenal ? What has been the outcome of the two global wars fought in the Gulf by US ?

Read, listen, watch, but analyse before jumping to any conclusions.

  5. Chiru I understand and respect your point of view.

@Ananya : Your emotions are fueled by what you heard and saw and this happens only when something is glorified by media to an extent and the Govt uses it for propaganda (you might hate me for saying this but it’s the truth).
How many times in a year do you voice your strong opinions about the armed forces and contribute to either their well being or do something to support their cause? (No need to answer this for me but do some self analysis).
According to you the problem is Islam and Muslims, well had that been the case, Army neither needs your support nor suggestions or candle light protests and black arm band DPs to sort it out. They are well equipped and trained to deal with the situation themselves which they do but basis filtration and not just raw emotions.
Moreover, your moral duty as a patriotic citizen is to prevent the country from rotting away and maintaining the balance within, which indeed as educated and sophisticated citizens we fail to do. This is what they are protecting, an environment rich of values and wisdom, but sadly it’s non-existent. We break rules, defy system, overstep others to get what we want but patriotism runs high in our veins only when a soldier dies and the tragedy is personified by media.
We so very conveniently bring to power bloody corrupt, illiterate, thieves and murderers but the blame goes to Pakistan, Muslims and Kashmiris.
We have allowed them time and again to exploit the chinks in our armor and if that’s too difficult to understand and accept, stop calling yourself a patriot.

Yes we have lost too many and still losing them, but no protests, marches or emotional outbursts will bring them back. Ask your govt what is stopping them to strike at the root of the problem instead of calling names and giving advice out of your domain. Patriotism is not sewn into a uniform, it comes from within. Patriotism is not always picking up a gun but being a responsible citizen too.
Let them do their job for they are highly trained. We need to focus on being an organized and visionary nation.

  6. Yuup! No need to fuel the communal hate between two religions. My Muslim brothers are honest tax payers and they live in perfect harmony abiding to Indian constitution and laws.
The problem is with the radical muslim youth of Kashmir. Some of them are laughing and enjoying this hideous act. We need to deal with them apty and at the same time give a befitting reply to Pakistan, who has became a heaven for terrorists. Our army is capable enough, and I think they’ll deal this situation with a combat operation. Verbal revenge will not suffice this time.

  8. Chiru – it is so sad that there are conflicts and violent outbursts in so many areas. So many have not learnt from the tragedies of the past.

When I was growing up there were many acts of terrorism in connection with Northern Ireland. People my age were not really sure what it was all about even! What seemed like a border feud and issue of whether Northern Ireland should be under the rule of the Irish government or the UK government, did become religious in some repects, especially when members of the clergy where taking political office (which is contrary to Christ’s teachings). So it looked as if Catholics were hating and killing Protestants and Protestants hating and killing Catholics (so called Christians killing so called Christians and completely dishonouring Christ!)

Many others who considered themselves Christians or even non-religious were appalled at the violence and a huge sigh of relief was breathed when there the violence in Northern Ireland and acts of terrorism eased off after the Good Friday agreement.

    —-

Humans hating and killing each other is always awful – what makes some angry is when those involved in the violence claim to be doing it in God’s name. You see religious leaders claiming it is what God wants, that fighters will be rewarded if they die, and you see weapons of destruction being blessed by religious figures.

Really those who are drawn in to acts of bloodshed and violence reveal they do not know God. But I am confident that God will be able to sort out this mess! I long for the day our human family lives in peace and unity and things like wars and terrorism are a very distant memory.

    1. Thank you for the insight… I didn’t knew about the border feud in Ireland…. Be it was 19th century or current year, people are still the same… Fighting and blaming in the name of religion.. and only political people enjoy out of it…..
Yes I too believe our upcoming generation will not be the same and the word terrorism will be seen only in dictionary…

  9. I never support this lines
‘Terrorism doesn’t have a religion’ and ‘Terrorism has a religion’

    According to me
    “Terrorism is a religion”
Indian Army knows what to do and when to do. But We know what can we do. I think “Nooo”.
Why we are not requesting to our Indian Government to “Close down Pakistan Embassy right now and Open emigre Baluchistan embassy in Delhi right now.” To show what we can do.

But when I see people hating their own neighbors for the killing that happened in kashmir… I feel pity for those who don’t understand the real problem is..
For this point I agree with you that we should close Pakistan Embassy here to avoid any further issues.. Fighting back is the only option we should look for..

But here my point is I don’t accept the fact that common people should suffer just because they belong to one particular religion…

You are absolutely right and I feel all those people who are showing sympathy don’t really care about those soldiers family nor the soilders who have died. Do they even know the names of all the soilders? That girl Ananya is not right and she doesn’t even know that even a Muslim soilder died in the attack.
Most Indians are giving foolish reaction in anger.
After some time when everyone will forget the incident how many will go and support the martyred soilders family members.
    Fighting is absolutely useless.
If we really respect the soilders then y the current soilders who r serving the nation is not getting due respect, Pay etc.

Spreading words of hatred have become so easy due to exposure of various social media platforms, instead of acting like a responsible citizen, people just fall for it. Receiving lots of WhatsApp forwards, tweets, facebook post on this trivial issue, makes me feel miserable and I feel like deleting those people simply and blindly following others. Use your mind, check the news source, verify the authenticity, before posting it, but no we have to show our patriotism.
