Tender Coconut 

Coconut is said to be originated in South east Asia, India including Srilanka and Maldives being the center of cultivation over the ages. Currently  Philippines is recognized as the leading nation in the world for coconut production. Despite the name the coconut is botanically considered a fruit.

Tender coconut water has been regarded as a miracle drink and considered the best drink to beat the summer heat and a natural drink of all time for an instant boost of energy. It forms naturally in the fruit and contains 94% water. Here are some healthy benefits:

  • Best for Hydration – Coconut water is traditionally used to treat dehydration digestion, urination, and even semen production. Coconut water is recognized as more hydrating than pure water. 
  • Best Sports drink –Due to its natural electrolytes, Coconut water make a solid match for traditional sports drinks like Gatorade. Coconut water helps in replenishing the lost electrolytes during the intense work out.

  1. God given grace I should say for this wonder drink which is the most natural thing you can ever consume, straight from the shell itself…
    It’s a natural medicine a Doctor prescribes for any patient irrespective of the illness they had.

        Chicken pox remedy nu sollradhu vide this helps to reduce the intensity and the harshness of the chicken pox’s effect on the person if they drink tender coconut daily as it cools the body and chicken pox comes in summer with a severity in attack.

  2. I love drinking coconut water. Sadly though there’s not many fresh coconuts around here in where I live (australia). There’s bottled one or in the can but the fresh coconuts are the best.

      1. It is because of the climate I guess. And coconut grows in tropical countries. Although I’ve seen some here as well. But I guess it might have been demand and supply too that’s why cultivation here is not prioritised.

  3. Thanks so much Chiru. One side-effect is the plastic straws that are being used today to drink tender coconut…wherever they are sold – in beaches, streets sides, at least in India. They probably just emptied the coconut water in glasses and drank it in earlier days…..i wish we could go back to that. 🙂

    1. That’s an important concern u raised Krishna so true.. but people will never understand the effect straws to us n to the nature..
      in villages we used to drink as it is after cutting it from the tree..
      I wish that too.. avoid straws
