The concept most of us aware that the goal of No–Shave November is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free. Donate the money you typically spend on shaving and grooming to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle.
But how it started?
No Shave November started after a father in Chicago passed away from colon cancer. His 8 sons and daughters started this campaign in 2009 in honor of their father to grow awareness of prostate cancer. Over 6 years this became a popular thing to do among many throughout the country.
Sadly many men don’t even realize why they do it. The great tradition is lost by the hype created by social media. Hope people understand the basic need of No shave November.
OMG, I didn’t know about that, Thanks for sharing chiru😊.

Didn’t know the story behind it. I doubt anyone who follows this religiously every year knows. Interesting and informative. I have so many friends who have stopped shaving this month, just to post it on Insta😀😀😀

You are right majority of freaks just grow bread for social media show off, I don’t think they are even aware of this fact….

Most people don’t… Sad is even the men who grow beard every Nov are not aware of this cause..

I shave whenever my beard gets too long – which is usually every two or three months. And since I shaved relatively recently, I shouldn’t be shaving in November.
